Air Adventure Australia, experts in luxury ‘off-the-beaten track’ holidays, have come up with the holiday of a lifetime for adventurous fishermen and women.
Air Adventure Australia has teamed up with Graeme Sinclair - New Zealand fishing legend and host of the popular television show ‘Gone Fishin’’ to design the ultimate fishing adventure in Australia’s Top End.
The ‘Top-End Fishing Adventure’ enables guests to experience some of the most remote and inaccessible areas in the Northern Territory and Western Australia by private aircraft and fish with Graeme who will host the trip and will also be filming for ‘Gone Fishin’’.
“I wanted to be a part of this adventure as it gives the opportunity, and flexibility to explore these remarkable locations which are very hard to reach. It is also a very special opportunity to fish in places which have barely been fished. This itinerary has all the ingredients for a holiday of a lifetime,” says Graeme.
Air Adventure Australia Managing Director John Dyer says “Graeme embodies the spirit of Air Adventure Australia and we are thrilled that we can offer our customers the opportunity to holiday with him and learn from his extensive fishing knowledge.”
The trip has been scheduled during peak season for catching barramundi giving New Zealanders a great opportunity to catch this famous Australian fish as well as a number of other varieties which are not found in New Zealand waters.
Departing from Darwin on April 23, the six-day adventure also includes a host of special experiences including cultural encounters and ‘bush tucker’ cooking demonstrations with the local Tiwi hunters, scenic flights over rivers and waterfalls in Kakadu, viewing of ancient aboriginal rock art and the opportunity to see a range of Australian wildlife.
The tour is priced at AUD $9,750 per person and is fully inclusive of all charter flights, high-end accommodation, meals and drinks, tours and excursions including equipment and photographs. Return airfares from New Zealand are additional.
Spaces are very limited, and are selling fast so prospective tour-goers should get in quick. Bookings, enquiries and itinerary outlines are available from Mike Halpin at Mondo Travel Auckland. Phone: 09 366-4645 or email: mike.halpin@mondo.co.nz.
