2016 Trans BC - 6 Day Enduro - Registration Open

By Trans BC

The inaugural Trans BC 6 Day Enduro race will take place on July 4th to 9th, 2016 showcasing the steep and deep forests and loam that BC is known for in a blind racing format. This event has been in the ‘background’ for 3 years now and we are excited to finally bring it to life. This will be the first ever ‘enduro’ style stage race for Canada where descents are timed and climbs/transitions are not timed.

Starting in the Okanagan and moving to the South-West Kootenay’s, these unforgettable trails will test you over 6 days, they will scare you, fire you up and leave you asking for more... Built by the small, welcoming communities through the interior of BC these trails are what every mountain biker dreams of. As a huge thanks, the Trans BC donates money back to each of these communities we visit throughout the event.

The Trans BC will not be for the faint hearted. Steep, tech, loam, and roots, along with some flow and rock thrown into the mix, they will test you and your equipment each day. Then you can smile and laugh over a cold beverage with 100 of your closest new friends. BC is on every rider's bucket list from around the world because of what the trails have to offer and for the challenge of testing your skills. The race will showcase the best mix of all trail types BC has to offer in each location. Riders should expect to be pushed and experience some pucker factor... each day will offer something new. It is like the sampler platter... only each helping is big enough to be considered the main course!

As with the Trans NZ (same organizers) we will be rolling in the same style and embracing the ‘no camping’ rule. All riders will be put up in condo style accommodation each night. It’s the real deal and a far cry better than a wet soggy tent. The condo’s on nights 4 and 5 each have their own hot tubs! It’s not going to be all rainbows and unicorns though, you still need to work for it and be physically fit enough to ride 4-6hrs a day with an average of 30 km’s per day and average of 1500m of climbing per day on top of racing over 2000m a day in descents. Bring your A-game you need to have the skills for true BC trails with steep tech gnar!

Registration opens October 6th, 2015 (PST). It will be open for 48 hours for everyone to get an application in and then it will be lottery based. There will only be 100 spots available keeping it small and intimate! Registration is C$1900 (plus GST and processing fees) and includes 7 nights accommodation, all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), all transportation throughout the event and of course some of the best 6 days of riding you will ever do. This equates to approximately US$1415 or €1250 or £935.
