Snow Sports NZ and Cardrona Alpine Resort Sign Adaptive Snowsports Team Sponsorship Agreement

By Snow Sports New Zealand

Under a newly signed agreement with Snow Sports NZ, Cardrona Alpine Resorts Limited has become the naming rights sponsor of the NZ Adaptive Ski and Snowboard Teams.

Cardrona Alpine Resort and Snow Sports NZ have a long-standing partnership in Adaptive snowsports with the NZ Adaptive Team of Adam Hall, Carl Murphy and Corey Peters currently having trained at the resort for many seasons.

The sponsorship agreement recognises the importance of the partnership and cements the relationship. The sponsorship will run through to the end of the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, during which time the NZ Adaptive Ski and Snowboard Team will be called the Cardrona NZ Adaptive Ski and Snowboard Team.

Bridget Legnavsky, Cardrona Alpine Resort General Manager, says she is excited about securing naming rights for the New Zealand Adaptive Ski and Snowboard Team.

“It’s a great way to formalise a relationship that we have had for many years with adaptive athletes and we are delighted to align our brand with such an inspiring group of people.”

Martin Toomey, Chief Executive of Snow Sports NZ, says he is proud to build on the already strong relationship between Cardrona Alpine Resorts Limited and Snow Sports NZ.

"Both organisations recognise the importance of competitive snow sports not only for the New Zealand snow sports industry, but for showcasing Cardrona, New Zealand and New Zealand’s most talented athletes on the World Stage."
