“We’ll start with Mönch, from there to Jungfrau, down, then to Groß Grünhorn, Hinter Fiescherhorn, Großes Fiescherhorn, down, and then it’s Finsteraarhorn, Konkordiaplatz, Haslerrippe, Aletschhorn!”

The speed-climbers started their mission at Jungfraujoch (3,428 m) exactly at midnight. Their route lead them to the top of Mönch (4,108 m) and then to Jungfrau peak (4,156 m).

At night, both were way faster than planned. They reached Gross  Gruenhorn (4,051 m) already after 6:17 hours and the peak of Hinter   Fiescherhorn (4032 m) after 8:16 hours.

On their way to the highest summit of the Bernese Alps, Finsteraarhorn  (4,270 m), however, the athletes were already marked by stress and strain.

ITV Beni Hug, in German
“Simply unbelievable! Sixth peak today, sixth four-thousander, only one to go! But we will make this one as well. We are still fine, it’s so cool!”

TC 10:02:08 VOICEOVER
ITV Beni Hug, in German
“Well, now we’ll tackle the last steep climb to Aletschhorn (4,210 m). The last four-thousander of the Aletsch region, and again 1,500 metres difference in altitude! That’s quite strenuous, so let’s go!”

TC 10:02:30 VOICEOVER
The steep climb to Aletschhorn (4,210 m) turned out to be another tough  challenge. For “average” ski mountaineers, each single climb to these  summits would be an exhausting day tour.

TC 10:02:46 VOICEOVER
Tony and Beni mastered all seven peaks within only 20 hours!

TC 10:02:59 VOICEOVER
ITV Beni Hug, in German
“Yeah, it’s an unbelievable day. Everything went almost perfectly today. It’s not always like that. At the end we suffered a bit.”

TC 10:03:14 VOICEOVER
ITV Tony Sbalbi, in French
“Because Beni wanted it so much, I just gave everything. I’m really happy  that we managed it.”

TC 10:03:35 VOICEOVER
ITV Beni Hug, in German
“We were even faster than we had originally planned. I’m extremely happy!”
