AJ Bell becomes sponsor of the newly titled 'AJ Bell London Triathlon'

By IMG Consulting

Organisers of the London Triathlon, taking place at London’s Docklands on 8-9th August 2015, are thrilled to announce that AJ Bell has become title sponsor of the iconic event, as of today.

With its Head Office overlooking Old Trafford, home of Manchester United and Lancashire County Cricket Club, AJ Bell has established itself as another major success story for the North West in recent years. Since the company was founded in 1995 it has quickly grown to become one of the UK's largest providers of low-cost, online investment platforms and stockbroker services. Though proud of its North West roots, it also has national coverage with offices in London and Tunbridge Wells.

In a bid to increase awareness of its brand still further, AJ Bell has looked to embrace sport opportunities, including naming rights partnerships with Lancashire County Cricket Club and Sale Sharks Rugby Union, as well as last year’s successful sponsorship of the 2014 AJ Bell British Squash Grand Prix.

The newly titled AJ Bell London Triathlon continues to hold the coveted title of the world’s largest triathlon, playing host to 13,000 triathletes and more than 30,000 spectators each year. The event caters for all abilities with a wide variety of distances, including; Super Sprint, Sprint, Olympic, Olympic Plus and Team Relay.

James Robinson, Managing Director at event organisers IMG Challenger World, commented: “AJ Bell have garnered a strong reputation across the financial services industry, built on strong foundations they are committed to excellence and upholding their core values. These principles and their synergies with the sport of triathlon make them the perfect title sponsor for the world’s largest triathlon, so we’re really looking forward to working together towards the inaugural AJ Bell London Triathlon and beyond”.

Billy Mackay, Marketing Director of AJ Bell said, “We are extremely pleased to announce that we are now the title sponsor of the London Triathlon. The popularity of the event has never been higher, as people of all ages embrace the challenges that triathlon presents. We look forward to a great weekend in August with an event that is a fantastic challenge for all abilities and triathletes of all levels.”
