Kiwis win Rogaine World Champs

Kiwis Georgia Whitla and Greig Hamilton won the Mixed Teams grade at the World Rogaining Champs in Latvia over the weekend.

Held in Rāzna National Park, the team was 5th overall in a field of over 400 teams, the largest ever for a rogaining world champs.

Absent from the event this year was three times winner Chris Forne, still recovering from winning the Adventure Racing World Champs last week.

Next year the event will be held in Catalonia, Spain.

Taupo named as finalist in race to host 2020 Ironman 70.3 World Championship
IRONMAN, a Wanda Sports Holdings company, announced today that Perth, Western Australia and Taupō, New Zealand have been named finalists to host the IRONMAN®70.3® World Championship triathlon which will rotate to the Oceania region in 2020.
