Whai Ora sign on as title sponsor of the Spirited Women Adventure Race

By Dare 2 Sweat Events

Whai Ora, an exciting new product from industry-leading Maori-owned dairy company Miraka, has inked a deal to become title sponsor of the annual Spirited Women – All Women’s Adventure Race. Whai Ora is the pursuit of wellbeing: and it is the pursuit of wellbeing that inspired Miraka to embark on a quest throughout Aotearoa to discover the finest New Zealand-grown produce; and to create a range of great tasting, easy to mix, real-food smoothie blends that will be later this year but available at selected events.  Every Spirited Woman will have an exclusive, pre-launch opportunity to sample these delicious smoothies over race weekend.

Spirited Women Event Director Neil Gellatly says the partnership perfectly aligns with the ethos and values of the event. “We feel blessed to have a brand on board as title sponsor who stand for everything we believe in and are trying to promote,” says Gellatly. “The synergies between Whai Ora and Spirited Women are really remarkable. The assimilation was a perfect match and we are so looking forward to working with them in encouraging a pursuit of wellbeing”.

Miraka CEO Richard Wyeth is excited to share the Whai Ora story with the Spirited Women Competitors. “By entering the Whai Ora Spirited Women adventure race the competitors have shown the same pursuit of wellbeing as we have in developing our range of natural smoothie blends,” says Richard.  “It’s a great fit and I’m sure they’ll have as much fun enjoying our smoothies as they have competing in the race.”

The Whai Ora Spirited Women – All Women’s Adventure Race, which will take place April 1st 2017 in the stunning natural environs of New Zealand’s adventure hub Taupo, is a huge social event where 300 teams of 4 women take part in a short, medium or long course adventure in the great outdoors. Teams have no idea where this adventure will take them until the night before the race. Competing women will then tackle new challenges together including stand-up paddle boarding, mountain-biking, trekking, navigation, possibly kayaking, plus surprise mystery activities, and experience a little pampering either side.

The Whai Ora Spirited Women – All Women’s Adventure Race is owned and operated by adventure event management company Dare2Sweat Events. Dare2Sweat Events are also responsible for the highly successful Giant 2W Gravity Enduro series of four races held on the famous Rotorua Redwoods trails.
