Sheppard Cycles partner with TIME as exclusive distributers of TIME products in Australasia

By Sheppard Cycles New Zealand

Sheppard Cycles Australia and Sheppard Cycles New Zealand have signed a partnership with TIME, the high performance French bicycle and accessory manufacturer, to be the sole distributors of the sought after brand in the Australian and New Zealand markets respectively.

Sheppard Cycles Head of Product, Stephen James, said of the partnership, ‘TIME has an affinity with design technology and craftsmanship and as such has placed considerable investment in their product development to produce premium bikes and cycling products. We are very pleased to welcome TIME into our portfolio of brands to offer cyclists in Australasia even greater choice of product, to enhance and further enjoy their riding experiences.’

Sylvain Noailly, CEO Time Sport International and VP Bike Division Group Rossignol spoke of how Sheppard Cycles was best selected for the partnership to represent TIME, ‘we think they are one of the best distributors in this area. They are representing a strong portfolio of brands and TIME within this group will be a beautiful complement.’ Group Rossignol recently acquired TIME with the strategic view that a lot of skiers are cyclists too, Sylvian commented ‘this move makes sense for the development for Group Rossignol. We will invest into TIME for making this brand one of the “jewels” of the Industry.’

Steve Paraskevas, Sheppard Cycles Group MD commented, ‘We’re excited to be working with TIME as they enter this new chapter and to be their chosen partner to deliver the TIME product to the Australasian cycling market.’

TIME are best known for their carbon fibre frames which use Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) technology, and their off-road pedals, which use a concept TIME calls ATAC (Auto Tension Adjustment Concept) allowing the release angle to be independent of spring tension. Both products are handmade in their factory in France.

A selection from the TIME Sports range, including frames, bikes and pedals will be available to purchase from selected bike stores in Australasia from early September 2016.
