Richard Murray signs with Zone3

By Zone3

Zone3 are delighted to announce the signing of Richard Murray as he targets becoming Olympic Champion later this year.

The partnership comes off the back of Murray’s finest year to date, culminating in a 4th place finish in the final International Triathlon Union (ITU) World Rankings. Murray who represents South Africa, produced many standout performances throughout the year including a win at the WTS in Edmonton and two podium finishes in WTS Chicago and Abu Dhabi, on top of World Cup event wins in New Plymouth and Cozumel.

With a huge year ahead of him, including the Rio Olympics, 2016 will see Murray racing in the all new Zone3 Vanquish. The Vanquish has long been regarded as one of the finest performance suits on the market and has won a number of high profile awards to support this. Thanks to some cutting edge design and innovative thinking, the new Vanquish has no doubt become the leanest, meanest and fastest wetsuit Zone3 have ever made so the partnership with Richard Murray makes perfect sense.

Murray said: "I am so excited to be joining Zone3 in 2016! I tested the Vanquish and it’s a fantastic suit with awesome flexibility. It’s such a fast suit, both in and out of the water, and is the perfect choice for me in what is shaping up to be a huge year. I can’t wait to get started!

Zone3 sponsorship manager Jake Presley said: “We are extremely excited  to have someone of Richard’s quality representing the brand and we are really pleased to be joining Richard’s journey in 2016. Richard has been one of the most consistent performers on the ITU circuit over the past few years and we have no doubts his success will grow even further in 2016 and beyond! We cannot wait to see the new Vanquish knocking off those all important seconds in his already extremely impressive swim.”

You can follow Richard’s progress throughout the 2016 season by following him through his website (www.trimurray.com)  and various social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram (@RD_Murray) and Facebook.
